Bright Eyes proudly follows the InvestiGators Club Curriculum

Bright Eyes proudly follows the InvestiGators Club Preschool/PreK Curriculum. Our curriculum is one of the five MSDE approved curriculums and is 1 of 2 that received a 5 Star rating through the Maryland State Department of Education. Throughout the course of the year, your child will gradually rotate through 7 themed learning units. Each unit teaches an array of essential skills to help your child learn and grow developmentally, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and academically. Every child will learn through exploration and play, with the guidance of our trained teachers. Each themed unit provides comprehensive lesson plans and activities to stimulate the young minds to all of our Preschool and PreK children. This curriculum has individualized instruction to aid all types of learners.

Come on and Lets Investigate!
Benchmark Assessments & Observation Checklists

Throughout the year, we will continuously observe and assess your child's development. This is an opportunity for our teachers to see where your child's strengths are and where we can help your child grow. Observation checklists are completed at the end go each of the 7 units to follow up on the key components of the lessons learned in that unit.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Twice a year, we invite parents to come sit down with the teachers to discuss your child's development and show you the progress your child has made as he or she continues their learning journey. This gives parents the opportunity to discuss with your child's teacher any questions, concerns, strengths and any further information that may be important to help pave the path for your child's learning.

Social & Emotional Development

In our classrooms, we celebrate culture and diversity, as well as social and emotional development. Throughout the curriculum, your child will be guided through many different activities, music styles, cultural awareness activities, and much more. Children will learn to use teamwork skills, as well as problem solving techniques, coping skills, and appropriate ways to express emotions.
